Licensing Work

I have been fortunate enough to license work to numerous greeting card & apparel manufacturers as well as nationally distributed catalogs and retailers. While some ideas seem brilliant at the time (but aren’t), others can be home runs. Waiting for Bordeaux popped into my head around 9:30 on a Saturday morning. I completed it by 11. By noon, I had sold it to a major US catalog. Wouldn’t be great if everything went that smoothly?

A leading apron manufacturer wanted to capitalize on the turkey frying fad. After I interviewed a number of meat & poultry shoppers, it became obvious that only men would stand around smoking, drinking beer and watching a bird bubbling in gallons of oil. Real Men Fry Turkeys sold so many aprons, one quarterly check paid for a very nice Volvo wagon.
